A pair of LOVE sculptures by Robert Indiana was on temporary display in front of the McGraw-Hill Companies Building at 1221 Avenue of the Americas early this month. A bigger version is permanently installed at the southeast corner of Sixth Avenue and 55th Street. The image was originally designed as a Christmas card for the Museum of Modern Art in 1964. The original three-dimensional version of LOVE is made of COR-TEN steel and has been reproduced in a variety of formats, multiple versions and a variety of colors.
