"Monumental Brooke with Beach Ball", Sculpture by Carole A. Feuerman At The Jim Kempner Fine Art

On view at the Jim Kempner Fine Art's outdoor sculpture garden is a piece called "Monumental Brooke with Beach Ball" by Carole A. Feuerman. The life-like sculpture is made of bronze and oil, and meausures 60 inches x 42.5 inches. Born in Connecticut, Carole Feuerman began sculpting in the 1970’s and established herself as one of America’s most acknowledged Hyper-Realists. She is known for her sensuous themes of swimmers and bathers, complete with translucent water drops. Her sculptures have a presence which is both contemporary and classical. In the past decade, she has also developed a highly original technique of sculpting with molten metal, creating multi-layered, organic bronzes in the spirit of Action Painting. Feuerman obtained a BFA degree from the School of Visual Arts.

The Jim Kempner Fine Art gallery is located at 501 West 23rd Street in Chelsea's art district.
