"The Vision Of A Genius" - Salvador Dali Sculpture Exhibit At The Time Warner Center

Nobility of Time
Surrealist Piano
Persistence of Memory
Dalinian Dancer

Several bronze sculptures by surrealist artist Salvador Dali (b. 1904 d. 1989) are currently on display in the public spaces of the Time Warner Center. The exhibition is dubbed "The Vision of a Genius." Among the highlights are the 16-foot "The Persistence of Memory", "Nobility of Time," the 11-foot "Woman Aflame," and "Dalinian Dancer." The free exhibit, which also features 40 Dali drawings and paintings will run through April 30, 2011. It is a wonderful exhibit because many people are not familiar with his sculptures. It is interesting to note that Dali worked in all media, leaving behind a vast wealth of oil paintings, watercolors, drawings, graphics, sculptures, films, photographs, performance pieces, and jewels.

Thanks for posting this. Otherwise I wouldn't have known about it. Can't wait to stop by and see it for myself sometime soon!
