The Philippines Says Thank You, World.
Three months after typhoon Haiyan made landfall in southeast Asia, the Philippines made an effort to send a message of thankfulness throughout the world for the outpouring support, love, concern, and care of various countries. Electronic billboards are being used to display “Thank You” messages in various major cities including New York, Paris, Tokyo, London, and others. The billboard message in Times Square is pictured above.

Super Bowl Boulevard
Super Bowl fans flock to Super Bowl Boulevard, an interactive, football-themed experience taking place January 29 through February 1, noon–10pm, on Broadway between 34th and 47th Streets. Engineered by GMC, the experience includes a toboggan run, autograph sessions, concerts and the Lombardi Trophy.

Happy New Year!
This is a collage of different images of the 2008 Times Square Centennial New Year’s Eve Ball as it constantly transformed into a kaleidoscope of colors. The Ball was displayed at the Times Square Information Center. The LED lights can create a myriad of colors for a kaleidoscope of hues against the Waterford Crystal triangles.

Reflections and Distortions
The bright American Flag in LED lights on two sides of the US Armed Forces Recruiting Station in Times Square create interesting reflections on vehicles and buildings across the street. Here are some of the images of those reflections and distortions. Today is Labor Day, a federal holiday dedicated to the social and economic achievements of American workers. It also marks the unofficial end of summer.

Yoga Enthusiasts Take Over Times Square To Celebrate Summer Solstice 2013
To celebrate summer solstice yesterday, the longest day of the year, yoga enthusiasts converged in Times Square, one of the busiest crossroads in the world. The “Mind over Madness” event included free yoga classes all day, as well as the Athleta fashion shows. Fifteen thousand people registered to roll out their yoga mats and join in. Part of its appeal is finding stillness and calm in the middle of the chaos in big city life. The images were taken during the fashion class with yoga instructor, Douglass Stewart.
