St. Mark's Place

Saint Mark's Place is a street in the East Village neighborhood of Manhattan. It is named after St. Mark's Church on 10th Street at Second Avenue. The street is actually a section of 8th Street running from Third Avenue to Avenue A. Saint Mark's Place features a wide variety of retailers and notable places like Gem Spa, Yaffa Café, the St. Mark's Hotel, St. Mark's Comics, among others. There are several open front markets that sell sunglasses, clothing and jewelry. There are also a number of tattoo and body piercing places, restaurants and bars, as well as record stores. St. Mark's Place is also noted for severel historic addresses.
