Annual Street Fair At LIM College, Manhattan's College Dedicated To Teaching The Business Of Fashion

LIM College (formerly known as the Laboratory Institute of Merchandising) is the only college in the United States dedicated exclusively to the study of the business of fashion. This afternoon, the college held its traditional annual street fair in front of The Townhouse at 12 East 53rd Street. New and returning students, faculty and staff members participated in an afternoon of block party  fun filled with food, games, prizes. A mini street "fashion show" also took place, in which the "models" in white summer dresses were water gunned with dyes as they walked the street runway. The "models" ended up looking like Carrie from the 1976 film of the same name, but everybody had fun.

This looks like an amazing display of living art! It reminds me of Alexander McQueen! That's one of my favorite fashion pieces and I loved seeing Savage Beauty at the Met. It's nice to see a new wave of designers.
