Bradley Theodore Paints Mural of Karl Lagerfeld and Anna Wintour
Bradley Theodore created this mural on the facade of L’asso pizzeria on Kenmare Street just East of Elizabeth Street on the border of Soho and Little Italy. The mural features two fashion personalities, Karl Lagerfeld and Anna Wintour head-to-head in a lovestruck pose. The Vogue editor in chief and Chanel designer are shown in profile, facing each other. They are identifiable by their hairstyles - Wintour's famous bob, and Lagerfeld's white ponytail. A small red heart hangs in between them. Their faces are painted as brightly rendered skeletons with colorful teeth.

Swoon’s Hurricane Sandy Mural at the Bowery Graffiti Wall
Swoon’s mural at the Bowery-Houston graffiti wall is rather timely, channeling themes of Hurricane Sandy on this day the city and state are marking one year since Hurricane Sandy made landfall. The piece features an illustration of the A train (“rise above the challenge”), an allusion to the suspended subway service to the Rockaways, and a community message of “people helping people.”

"Audrey Hepburn" and "Temper Tot" Murals on Mulberry Street in Little Italy
Brooklyn-based artist, Tristan Eaton recently created this eye-catching mural, entitled Audrey Hepburn, a 12-foot-by-7-foot multicolored mural of silver screen legend Audrey Hepburn on the southeast corner of Mulberry and Broome streets, on a wall belonging to Caffe Roma. Eaton juxtaposed a black and white illustration with patterns of abstract color to create the visually captivating portrait. Set within a white box, the large area of vibrant colors boldly pop out against the red brick wall.
Another eye-catching street artwork is a four-story mural of a green creature called "Temper Tot" by Ron English on a parking-lot wall in the heart of Little Italy. It depicts a grouchy child with a muscular body before or after a tantrum wearing cutoff jeans. The not-so-jolly green giant frowns upon Mulberry Street, across from the Church of the Most Precious Blood, a 125-year-old Roman Catholic parish that hosts the Feast of San Gennaro. Reaction on Mulberry Street ranged from “hideous” and “disgusting” to “funny and creative.” The murals are part of the Little Italy Street Art Project, a group founded last summer to build up the neighborhood as a creative destination and to cultivate a broader view of Little Italy among New Yorkers.

Mural for Red Bull Music Academy New York 2013
This is one of the murals for the recent Red Bull Music Academy NYC 2013. The mural is on an apartment building on Lafayette Street in SoHo. The Red Bull Music Academy was a five-week series of concerts, lectures, art installations and workshops that is one of the biggest musical happenings in New York, as well as perhaps the most elaborate example of the reach of corporate brands into popular culture. The academy is a combination citywide festival and private musical summer camp. It has been held in different international cities almost every year since 1998, when it began in Berlin. The events in New York City this year were underwritten by Red Bull.
