United Colors of Benetton Pop-Up Shop in SoHO Features "The Art Of Knit" Including "Lana Sutra"

The new United Colors of Benetton Pop-Up store in the heart of SoHo is a converted garage space that features some unconventional colorful displays mixed with apparel and accessories. The store prominently displays wool-covered curiosities including the outrageous "Lana Sutra" by Erik Ravelo, which depicts brightly colored knit mannequins in a sex position. Benetton describes the new type of pop-up experience a "celebration of diversity." The store is located at 135 Crosby Street in SoHO. Dylan's Candy Bar Holiday Pop-Up Shop Near Bryant Park

Just in time for the holiday season, Dylan's Candy Bar opened its first ever pop-up store across from Bryant Park in the space used previously by Missoni for Target. The pop-up shop carries the usual quirky selection of nostalgic candies as well as holiday-themed items such as “Naughty or Nice” candy bars, Hanukkah chocolate coins and an Advent calendar filled with candy. Inside the store is a giant gingerbread house and a large candy Christmas tree. The store has been popular among tourists and locals alike. The store is located at 1095 Avenue of the Americas between 42nd and 43rd Streets, and will be open until January 7, 2012.

MISSONI Madness


Hordes of shoppers invaded the Missoni for Target pop-up store near Bryant Park last week. The store that showcased the Missoni premiere was forced to close the morning after it's Fashion's Night Out opening because according to one of the store's workers, the entire inventory was gone within an hour of its opening at 9 a.m. that day. Days later, Target's new collection brought down the Target website due to an overwhelming amount of traffic to the site.

Fashionable Pop-Up Shop Opening Soon: MISSONI for TARGET

The highly anticipated MISSONI for TARGET's 400-piece collection will be launched nationwide on September 13, but will make its premiere in New York City on September 8 during "Fashion's Night Out". Target will host a pop-up shop at 1095 Sixth Avenue near Bryant Park. The shop will open from 6 PM to 11 PM on September 8, and then again on September 9 and 10 from 9 AM to 8 PM. The pop-up shop is now being set up and the images of the wall advertising shown above were taken yesterday.

Lionel Model Train Holiday Pop-Up Store


Lionel model trains opened a holiday pop-up shop at 1095 Avenue of the Americas at 41st Street across from Bryant Park. These are some of the fully operational train layouts on display at the store. The store carries sets such as the New York Central, Pennsylvania Flyer, the Nutcracker Route, Polar Express, Hogwart’s Express, Thomas the Tank Engine and Amtrak trains. Lionel is the most enduring brand name assciated with model trains and model railroads in the United States.
