1 World Trade Center

One World Trade Center became the tallest building in the country this year, after installation of its 408-foot silver spire brought the David M. Childs-designed skyscraper to its its full, symbolic height of 1,776 feet. The gleaming skyscraper is scheduled to open in early 2014, with media giant Conde Nast as its anchor tenant to occupy 1 million square feet of the 2.6 million-square-foot space. A three-level observation deck called One World Observatory will open in 2015. The federal government will also move offices into the tower as well.

  1. great shots Noel. Nice of you to post this in remembrance of 911. Somehow it is reassuring to know that people still honor this day.

  2. Thank you Lily. I think we ought to continue honoring the memory of those who died on that day. A woman who lost a loved one said, "They say time will ease the pain, but I am still waiting for that time to come."
