Macy's Fourth of July Fireworks
New Yorkers and tourists lined the Hudson River and filled rooftops along the waterfront last night to celebrate the U.S. Independence Day with the annual Macy's Fourth of July fireworks display. More than 40,000 fireworks lit up the sky over the Hudson River set to music directed by Grammy Award-winning recording artist, Usher. The event also featured a light show on the Empire State Building. These photos didn't do justice to the dazzling fireworks, and were taken from the Top of the Rock Observation Deck.
Although the fireworks were grand, the music was terrible. Independence Day is a patriotic holiday, and the music should reflect that theme, not pop music award variety selections.
ReplyDeleteI didn't even hear the music from where I was viewing the fireworks.
ReplyDeleteYour photos are awesome Noel - I can just imagine what it was like to actually see them in real time. JanUK
