The Philippine Center on Fifth Avenue is prominently promoting the premiere design and lifestyle trade fair of the Philippines, "MANILA FAME" in its current window display. This year's Manila FAME theme is "The Art of the Craftsman - The Soul of the Philippines" and aims to elevate the profile of the Philippines as a source of innovative, unique, cutting-edge, and sustainable designs for home, business, and lifestyle requirements. The window display is a joint project of the Philippine Center, Philippine Consulate General, the Philippine Trade and Investment Center (PTIC) in New York and the Center for International Trade Expositions and Missions (CITEM). The initial CITEM display features "Papillion Easy Chair" by renowned Filipino designer, Kenneth Cobonpue, "Cloud Pendant Lamp" and "Handmade Paper" by masaec. The next Manila FAME fair will be held on March 14 to 17, 2013 at the SMX Convention Center in Manila.
