Dominican Day Parade 2010

On August 8, the colorful Dominican Day parade took place on Sixth Avenue in Manhattan to commemorate the independence of the Dominican Republic. The festivities also included a concert, food, and amusements for children. New York City is home to more than 400,000 Dominican immigrants, many of whom have settled in Washington Heights/Inwood, Corona, Cypress Hill and other parts of the City.
