"Dimetrodon II" by Claude and Francois-Xavier Lalanne was one of artwork auctioned at Christie's at Rockefeller Center as part of the "Important 20th Century Decorative Art and Design" auction. The piece is a unique stainless steel and copper topiary designed in 1998.

Salute to Israel Parade

It's "parade season" again in Manhattan. These photos were from last Sunday's "Salute to Israel Parade", the largest event in the world celebrating the Anniversary of Israel's Independence. An estimated 100,000 participants stepped off on Fifth Avenue cheered on by about a million spectators. It was a sea of blue and white, as community leaders, American and Israeli dignitaries, celebrities, floats and marching bands come together for this annual parade. Pro-Palestine demonstrators were there too.

President Obama and Mrs. O's Broadway Photo featured in the NEW YORK DAILY NEWS

One of my photos of President Obama and the First Lady, Michelle Obama taken during last Saturday night's presidential theatre "date" appears on the June 1 issue of the New York DAILY NEWS. It is featured in an article authored by Michael McAuliff and Erin Durkin entitled, "Obamas come and gone, buzz remains." The First couple visited New York last Saturday evening for dinner in a Greenwich Village restaurant BLUE HILL, and a Broadway play, JOE TURNER'S COME AND GONE at the Belasco Theatre.
