Last Sunday, the annual Heritage of Pride NYC March was held last Sunday, June 27. The march began as an annual civil rights demonstration beginning the year after the Stonewall riots in 1970. Heritage of Pride is wholly volunteer-managed non-partisan, tax-exempt, not-for-profit corporation that organizes Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgendered Pride events in New York City to commemorate and celebrate the Stonewall riots. These Events are organized for and on behalf of all lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender individuals and groups, and all others who support the struggle for the liberation of these communities.

The new LEGO Store at Rockefeller opened recently, revealing a wonderful display of iconic New York City scenes and landmarks in LEGO plastic bricks. The grand opening of the store will be on July 1.

A pedestrian mall in Manhattan has turned into a fashion show runway. Sidewalk Catwalk recently launched a public art installation in the Garment District featuring mannequins donning couture made of weather-proof materials, created by famous fashion designers. The public art display will remain up through September 3rd along the pedestrian mall between Herald Square and 42nd Street. After the exhibit, the mannequins will be available through auction.
